tbh the entire concept of m.ari o.hara’s character rubs me the wrong way like… i get that its supposed to be endearing and a joke but the whole idea of her being chairwoman just bcause her family contributed money to the school is so disturbing to me… ive been the victim of that EXACT brand of classism for my entire life. ive literally been robbed of leadership opportunities because my school panders big time to one person for that exact reason. because her family gives money to the school. her mere presence takes so many opportunities away from me (and everyone else) and for that reason i just cant even remotely grasp how ppl think ma.ri is endearing at all with such a weird classist notion behind her but ok
